EUROPEAN DIRECTIVES APPLICABLE TO CMO VALVES

The valves that CMO VALVES Technology S.L. manufactures and markets, are subject to the applicable requirements of the directives listed below. In order to adequately comply with them, the customer must provide information on the application or intended use of the device and on the environment in which it will be located to perform its task.

2006/42/EC (Machine)

It affects all models that have an automatic system for their operation, generally through pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuators.

2014/68/EU (PED)

Depending on whether the fluid to be controlled is dangerous or not and the working pressure it reaches, the supplied valves will fall under Article 4.3 of the directive, or in any CE marked categories as follows:

CATEGORY MODULE METHOD APPLI TO
I A Autocertification All range of CMO Valves
II G Certification by Notified Body Ask to our commercial department
III B+F Certification by Notified Body Ask to our commercial department

2014/34/EU (ATEX)

As long as electrical conductivity is guaranteed, all CMO models operated manually, can be considered, either with handwheel or gearbox or lever, suitable for zones 2/22 Cat.3

CATEGORY ZONE METHOD APPLI TO
I 0/20 Certification by Notified Body Ask to our commercial department
II 1/21 Certification by Notified Body Models A – C – F – MF – K (Ask for other series)
III 2/22 Autocertification All range of CMO series

The actuators that automate the valves, must themselves meet the required ATEX levels. In the same way, any electrical device installed on the final equipment (inductive sensors, limit switches, terminal boxes,) will be compatible with the same restriction zone of the valve.
